Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all goods and services supplied by Aylesbury Signs. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms.

Quotations

  • All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated
  • Quotations are based on the information supplied at the time and may change if specifications are amended
  • Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise

Orders & Acceptance

  • An order is considered accepted once confirmed in writing (email or approval)
  • Production will not commence until artwork approval has been received

Artwork & File Supply

Customer-Supplied Artwork

  • Artwork supplied by the customer must be print-ready
  • We accept common file formats including PDF, EPS, AI and high-resolution JPEG/PNG for printing.
  • For embroidery, a special DST file has to be created this is a one off service per logo, per item. We can accept customer supplied DST files and will test a sample before running the job. DST files are a very specialist file to create and we would recommend allowing us to create this for you for best results. There is a one off charge to create each DST file.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure:
    • Correct spelling and grammar
    • Correct dimensions and scaling
    • Correct colours
    • Image resolution suitable for print

Artwork Checks

  • Basic checks may be carried out as a courtesy
  • We are not responsible for errors in customer-supplied artwork, if you request a design service, responsibility remains with the customer to fully check all elements of the design for accuracy (including, but not limited to spelling, numbers, general layout, colours etc…)

Artwork Approval

  • Proofs will be supplied for approval where applicable
  • Once artwork has been approved, Aylesbury Signs accepts no responsibility for:
    • Spelling errors
    • Layout issues
    • Colour variations
    • Incorrect information

Approval confirms that the customer has checked and accepted the artwork in full, this includes artwork created by us or supplied by customer.

Amendments & Corrections

  • Any changes requested after artwork has been supplied may incur additional charges
  • Where supplied files are unsuitable for print, charges may apply for:
    • File correction
    • Redrawing artwork
    • Resizing or reformatting
    • Colour adjustments
    • Font replacement

No corrections or amendments will be carried out without customer approval.

Colour Matching

  • Colour reproduction may vary between screen and printed output
  • Exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed due to material and printing process limitations
  • Pantone matching can be attempted where specified but is not guaranteed
  • If colour matching is paramount, please make us aware and a chargeable colour profiling service can be offered.

Production & Turnaround Times

  • Production times are estimates and not guaranteed
  • Delays caused by:
    • Late approvals
    • File issues
    • Material availability
    • External factors
      may affect delivery times

Aylesbury Signs will not be liable for losses caused by delays.

TERMS FOR Materials & Finishes

  • All materials are selected for suitability based on intended use
  • Outdoor lifespan estimates are guidelines only and depend on environmental conditions
  • Normal wear and tear is not considered a fault

Installation (Where Applicable)

  • Installation prices assume:
    • Safe access
    • Clear working areas
    • Suitable fixing surfaces

Additional charges may apply if:

  • Access equipment is required
  • Site conditions are unsuitable
  • Installation is delayed due to third parties

Cancellations

  • Orders cancelled after production has commenced may be charged in full
  • Custom printed products are non-refundable once production has started

Faults & Claims

  • Any claims for faults must be reported within 48 hours of receipt or installation
  • Claims will not be accepted for:
    • Approved artwork errors
    • Normal wear and tear
    • Incorrect use or installation by third parties

Liability

  • Aylesbury Signs’ liability is limited to the value of the goods supplied
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses

Ownership of Artwork

  • Artwork produced by Aylesbury Signs remains our property unless otherwise agreed
  • Final printed items remain the property of Aylesbury Signs until paid for in full

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
